This was a steel framed corporate headquarters building with office floors suspended from heavy cantilevered trusses at roof level and was constructed on a man-made island in Manama, Bahrain. We undertook design reviews at both scheme and detailed design stages.
At a later stage in the project we were involved in the detailing of the bolted and welded connections on the steel trusses. These had substantial built-up chord members fabricated from plate up to 100mm thick.
